FOR EXAMPLE, AT HIS FUNERAL, WHICH WAS A MILITARY SERVICE, THE SOLDIERS</p> <p>WHO WERE FOLDING THE FLAG AROUND THE COFFIN BOTCHED THE JOB BADLY AND HAD TO DO IT OVER.</p> <p>EMILY TURNED TO ME AND SAID, "I'LL BET BILL IS PROBABLY LAUGHING LIKE HELL OVER THAT!"</p> <p>I REMEMBER ACTING IN A NUMBER OF THE QUIET PLEASE PRODUCTIONS. NEAR THE END OF THAT SERIES,</p> <p>COOPER WAS CONTRACTED TO DO SIX QUIET PLEASE SHOWS FOR TELEVISION. I WAS GIVEN THE STARRING</p> <p>ROLE IN THE FIRST SHOW CALLED THE BELLHOP'S STORY. IT WAS SHOT LIVE, USING A SINGLE FIXED CAMERA</p> <p>THAT THE ACTORS HAD TO PLAY INTO. THE STORY WAS A FANTASY ABOUT TWO BANK ROBBERS, A MAN AND</p> <p>A WOMAM, WHO ARE ESCORTED WITH THEIR BAGGAGE BY A BELLHOP INTO A CHEAP HOTEL ROOM WHERE</p> <p>THEY INTENDED TO HIDE OUT. BUT EVERYTHING GOES WRONG FOR THEM. THEY DECIDE TO PLAY CARDS</p> <p>TO KILL SOME TIME BUT THEIR DECK ONLY HAS 51 CARDS. THEN THEY DECIDE TO HAVE A DRINK ONLY TO</p> <p>DISCOVER THEIR LIQUOR BOTTLE INSIDE THE SUITCASE IS BROKEN. THE BELLHOP SUDDENLY APPEARS</p> <p>WITHOUT KNOCKING ON THE DOOR AND THESE TWO PEOPLE REALIZE THEY ARE DEAD, HAVING BEEN KILLED</p> <p>AT THE CRIME SCENE. THEY NOW FIND OUT THEY ARE IN HELL, AND THE BELLHOP IS ACTUALLY THE DEVIL.</p> <p>THE FINAL LINE I DELIVERED, AS THE DEVIL, DIRECTLY TO VIEWERS WAS: "MAYBE I'LL BE CARRYING YOUR</p> <p>BAGS SOMEDAY!"</p> <p>TO BE CONTINUED------ REMEMBRANCES BY FRANK THOMAS. That's a great story. I wonder if copies of the TV show have survived, and if so, where one could find them?
