Unlike me, most people seem to care a lot about audio quality and can't listen to something that makes them strain their ears. It's a problem for making new converts to the relig... I mean, helping new people enjoy Quiet Please. So, that in mind, I thought it might be a good idea to come up with a list of the really good sounding episodes that won't annoy anyone's ears. Which ones do you think sound best?
"Inquest" "Whence Came You?" "Dark Rosaleen" "The Evening and the Morning" "Gem of Purest Ray" "Calling All Souls" "Is This Murder?" "The Pathetic Fallacy" (outside of the first couple seconds being missing)
"Very Unimportant Person" "Northern Lights" "Wear the Dead Man's Coat" "A Red and White Guidon"
Don't know if it's still being sold but the six-cassette QP boxed set that came out a few years ago has good sound throughout. The titles included are:
1 It is later than you think ; Meet John Smith, John ; Beezer's cellar 2 And Jeannie dreams of me ; Good ghost ; Calling all souls 3 Adam and the darkest day ; The Time of the big snow ; Northern lights 4 Tap the heat, Bogdan ; Valentine ; If I should wake before I die 5 The man who knew everything; Dark Rosaleen; A time 2 be born & a time 2 die 6 Shadow of the wings; Oldest man in the world; In the house where I was born
There's a good sounding version of "In the House Where I Was Born"? One of my favorite epsiodes but it sounds pretty bad in what I have. If the tape sounds good maybe someone could digitize it.
