Unless you have them all already, that'd just lengthen the time... but I'm making progress, slowly but surely. I may be able to find space for all 88 episodes, we'll see.
My music studio has acquired a number of high-end audio restoration programs and I will be experimenting over the next few weeks to see if I can improve the audio quality on some of the scratchier episodes. I am also capturing the Quiet Please streaming episodes from Cyber49er with Total Recorder onto MPEG's that can be downloaded. Fourble was the first. If you would like any episodes let me know and I can either e-mail them to you as attachments or I can post them on one of my minimalist websites. Will let you know how the restoration project is going as I (hopefully) make some progress. Love, Drunken Mozart!
I should be getting all the episodes on CD in a week or two so I'll just wait for that... after all, my modem is slow enough that downloading would take a week anyway. http://www.otrcat.com/quietplease.htm has a CD with all the episodes for only $5, in case anyone else is interested.
Warning: In order to simplify the database, I'm changing the file names.
If you can't get an episode to download, try using the production order number of the episode as the name of the mp3 until the episodes section is complete. For example, "We Were Here First" was the 3rd epsiode of the series and so it's 3.mp3 ... the full path being http://www.quietplease.org/mp3s/3.mp3
Using Sound Forge with X-Click, X-Noise and X-Crackle I tried to find the best balance between reducing noise and maintaining audibility. The overall sound is a little quieter but if you compare it with the original I think you'll find it more listenable. www.telusplanet.net/public/synthi is where you can find it posted. Your comments are welcome but please remember this is my first effort and the raw material was brutally corrupted. Enjoy, and thanks again for the shows!
If you can't download my attempt at cleaning up Nothing Behind The Door due to your modem connection please feel free to send me a postal address and I will burn it onto CD-ROM and mail it to you. Will be working on other damaged episodes as time allows.
I downloaded what you have there. The file plays to the end, but for some reason the end of the credits is about a minute before where the file length indicates. Strange... seems to be nothing wrong with the audio, just something wrong with where it thinks it's supposed to end? But anyhow, I compared it with the other version I have of the episode and it does sound a bit better... less static.
Actually downloading isn't as bad as uploading... uploading, as this thread being started in January illustrates, takes me a very long time. However there may be an easy solution to that... I've set up an FTP account for you so you can upload the files directly into quietplease.org webspace, to a directory from which I can easily rename and move the files to the permanent location without having to spend the hours re-uploading files myself.

Sorry, I meant MP3's, not mpeg's. All this technology has turned my brains into (M)ashed (P)otatoes! Drunken Mozart.

For some reason my cleaned-up file ends about a minute before it is supposed to. Will correct this and let you know when it is reposted. Sorry!
